The ring I didn't make
How building a thing I never used taught me what these machines are actually for.
Rendering gems that don't exist yet
The engineering and the product thinking behind a tool I built to see a stone before it was cut.
Maybe Human is my studio and my notebook. The thing I'm deep in right now is Binderwise, built on a simple idea: technology should point people at the room, not the screen. Card collecting is most alive in person, on the floor and across the table, but nearly every tool built for it pulls the other way, toward solo, online, and transactional. Binderwise lays a live layer over the show instead. Your wants and the dealers' inventory become visible, so the right card and the right person stop missing each other by two aisles. Connection over commerce, the room over the feed. I write down what the building teaches me here, dead ends and all.
